Bernard Zell, located on the North side of Chicago, seeks a thoughtful, detail-oriented, mature, and responsible individual to fulfill the afternoon role as part-time BZ Beyond Associate. BZ Beyond is the after-school care program at Bernard Zell Anshe Emet Day School (Bernard Zell). The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, be exceptionally collaborative and collegial, and share a great enthusiasm for children and their learning in this independent Jewish day school. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Foster the positive growth and development of children from Nursery to 4th grade. Plan and lead engaging afternoon activities, including crafts, building, imaginative play, and outdoor time. Ensure the safety and supervision of a designated group of children at all times. Work collaboratively with other BZ Beyond staff and support older student volunteers assisting in classrooms. Serve as a mentor and role model, embodying Bernard Zell's mission and values. Maintain regular and open communication with the BZ Beyond Lead. Support full-day programming during school closures and day-off camps as needed.
