Job description

Position Title: Network Assistant Position Type: Part time Categories: Staff Non-exempt Job Summary: Network Assistants are utilized in conjunction with Bucknell's Network Engineers to advance the University's efforts towards employing a stable, up-to-date, and well maintained wireless and wired campus network. Network Assistants can expect to participate in the mapping, installation, configuration, and testing of wireless access points in many of the buildings on campus. Network Assistants can also expect to participate in the deployment of more current switching equipment in these areas to support the wireless, and wired network. This is a 3 month position ( (May 2026 through August 2026), 30-35 hours a week, non-exempt (hourly), non-benefits eligible position based in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. Job Duties: Reporting Relationships: Reports to the Network Engineer. What You Will Do: Network Activations and Cable Management: Activate, move and deactivate copper network connections across campus.
