BASIC PURPOSE OF THE JOB: Assists and performs nursing functions under the supervision of a Nursing Supervisor. All functions performed are within the limits of the Tennessee Nurse Practice Act and nursing policies and procedures. REPORTS TO: Nurse Manager: JOB REQUIREMENTS: Supervisory Responsibilities: NO: Minimum Education: Associate's Degree required: Degree: Graduate of an accredited school of Practical Nursing required License/Certification Required: Licensed Practical Nurse in State of Tennessee Minimum Work Experience: 1-year pediatric experience preferred REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Strong assessment and critical thinking skills Skills as outlined in the LPN orientation checklist Effective communication skills: DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Conducts a thorough health assessment of patients and record information accurately.
