Associate Superintendent (EX)

Job description

Impelled by the mission to advocate for children and to advance Catholic education, the Associate Superintendent serves as a key leader for the schools of the Archdiocese of Baltimore. Acting as a representative of the Superintendent, this role ensures school compliance with archdiocesan policies and procedures aligned to the National Standards and Benchmarks for Effective Catholic Schools, including Mission and Catholic Identity, Governance and Leadership, Academic Excellence, and Operational Vitality. The Associate Superintendent provides direct service and supervision to principals, conducting regular school visits, fostering collegial and supportive relationships, and completing thorough evaluations and documentation to promote continuous improvement and strong Catholic identity in every school. The Associate Superintendent supports and strengthens school leadership by monitoring school culture and climate, guiding principals in effective governance, communication, and professional growth, and facilitating collaboration with pastors, boards, and home-and-school associations.
