Job description

Job Responsibilities: - Drivers commercial truck and trailer to transport utility poles to and from specified destinations applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and area roads. Loads/unloads utility poles by operating attached boom. Responsible for pickup and delivery paperwork. - Inspects equipment for safety prior to use and performs necessary basic maintenance tasks - Inspects and ensures that truck and trailer are in satisfactory “over the road” condition - Inspects and ensures that load is secured to meet regulations and product is protected during transport - Complies with state and deferral regulations and laws - Complies with company policies and procedures - Maintains organized and detailed documentation - Delivers products to customers in a timely, efficient, cost-effective and safe manner while preserving quality of loaded products - Operate boom equipment in a safe and appropriate manner - Reports any unusual conditions encountered at customer location or in route - Performs emergency roadside repairs, such as changing tires, installing light bulbs, tire chains, and spark plugs - Performs other work-related duties as required Candidate Qualifications/ Req...
