Registered Nurse: Orthopedic Clinic

Job description

Reports to: Orthopedic Director FLSA Classification: Full-Time, Non- Exempt, hourly $33.80- $40.11 Essential Functions: - Conduct physical exams to assess patient health needs and problems. - Implement physicians’ orders, such as performing treatments, starting IVs, administering medications, and interpreting tests. Perform injections and joint aspirations. - Review and maintain medical records. - Administer direct care to injured, disabled, ill or convalescent patients. - Document pertinent information and medication administration. - Counsel patients and family members on disease prevention and health maintenance. - Maintain a safe and hygienic working environment. - Provide emotional and psychological support to patients and families. - Complete required continuous training and education, including department specific requirements. - Continuously assess patient health. Implement and develop nursing care plans. - Responsible for patient education during the pre- and post-operative periods. - Receive patients, explain procedures, check vital signs, administer therapy, monitor reactions, and report information to physicians. - Navigate emergency situations as they arise. - Coordina...
