A Systems Integrator on an Army Trail Boss Team plays a pivotal role in bridging the gap between technology development and the warfighter. Operating at the intersection of technical expertise and operational understanding, they ensure that complex systems are not only integrated seamlessly but are also effective and user-friendly for soldiers in the field. The primary purpose of a Systems Integrator on a Trail Boss Team is to provide the technical leadership and oversight necessary for the successful integration, evaluation, and fielding of new and upgraded military systems. This is especially crucial in the context of the Army's Network Integration Evaluations (NIEs), where numerous systems are assessed simultaneously.
