Responsibilities Peraton is seeking a Senior Corporate Counsel, International and Trade Compliance. This position supports the Peraton Legal Department and works closely with Peraton’s Trade Compliance team, Peraton’s senior management, outside counsel and other members of the Legal Department to support and advise on international business operations and trade compliance. Responsibilities: - Provide advice and counsel to company leadership, business sectors and its Trade Compliance function regarding international business operations, trade compliance and sanctions. - Lead the company’s Trade Compliance Program, including: - Supervise a team of approximately six trade compliance professionals - Advising on U.S. and applicable non-U.S. international trade and sanctions laws and regulations, including changes in laws, regulations and government directives; - Overseeing the preparation, submission and administration of export license applications, technical assistance agreements and Commerce licenses; validate applicability of ITAR exemptions and EAR exceptions. - Ensure export and import records are maintained per U.S. Regulatory requirements and company policy. - Overseeing trade c...
