CNC CAM Programmer

Job description

We are hiring a CNC CAM Programmer to write programs in MasterCAM for Okuma 10 & 10 SS and Okuma 12 with OSB 300L Control (Okuma 10SS and 12 running with sub-spindle live tooling) and HAAS Lathe and Mill machines that are 3-Axis, 4-Axis and 5-Axis with bar feeders. The programmer will write, edit or change programs to ensure parts are examined for most efficient manufacturability. This includes recommendations for best tooling. This role is expected to resolve and problem solve any issues between the engineering drawings and the machine shop. We are currently using MasterCAM and will like to move to Esprit. Job Duties include, but not limited to: - Examine Engineering drawings and ensure manufacturability and practical machining. Provide recommendations for improvement. - Create (write), edit or change programs that are efficient and provide best manufacturability and tooling path for each CNC Machine. - Assist with CNC Machine Programming edits and set ups for new parts / jobs when needed. - Recommend and provide best tooling and part mounting for each part. - Train operators in setting up and operating new parts.
