Must be competent with assessing all material with a high level of accuracy. Must show good judgement with attention to details as well as respect for patient confidentiality. The cytotechnologist must work professionally and courteously with physicians, patients, guests and other employees Job Description: Performs processing, staining and coverslipping of various types of cytologic material. Assists with fine needle aspiration immediate evaluation and procurement. Performs clerical duties including entering data into computers, answering phones, and distribution of reports. Monitors quality assurance. Works with others in a professional and courteous manner. Assists with training and teaching of students, residents, and others.
