Job description

The Paralegal assists leaders on the Legal and Compliance team by performing a variety of legal duties, including conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, handling active and non-routine litigation matters, responding to subpoena and discovery requests, and maintaining confidential company records. This role requires 100% onsite attendance in our Pontiac office. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING: - Reviewing and responding to legal documents. - Reviewing, monitoring and responding to subpoenas and other discovery requests. - Researching and analyzing statutes, regulations, judicial decisions, legal articles and other relevant informational sources - Handling guideline issues that have legal nuances - Preparing written correspondence with outside counsel and other third-parties, including responses to complaints - Ensuring compliance with policies and procedures - Editing legal documents for accuracy - Assisting with issues related to MERS, servicing, marketing reviews, settlement agent oversight, title claims and other title related issues - Other duties as assigned WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU: Must Have Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or Paralegal certificate and...
