BRIEF DESCRIPTION: Person will be responsible for but not limited to the following job duties and have said qualities: All aspects of the election process. Must be self-motivated, attentive to detail and possess multiple computer skills. Must be able to coordinate with the County Clerk/Chief Deputy on job duties. Planning and problem resolution, training poll officials and polling location preparation/scheduling. This position cares for and maintains electronic tabulating machines (voting machines), tubs and ballot boxes, and voting machine keys; and schedules machines for delivery and pick up. This employee organizes voting machines for certification and test votes machines for functionality. This position registers and assists voters and performs routine maintenance of voter file, respond to requests from the public, issue voter related material and be able to read, understand and implement NM Statutes. Must be able to read a map and determine precinct/district assignments. Assist the absentee early voting board during elections.
