The Surgical Clinical Assist (SCA) provides assistance to the Physician and Physician's Assistant with daily administrative and clinical duties. If you are qualified for and interested in this role, please apply. Responsibilities: Examines post-operative patients and preforms wound checks for possible infections. Performs history and physicals for pre-operative patients. Assists surgeon at collegiate and professional sporting events. Assists with field coverage for patients who are athletes. E-Prescribe, write (getting physician to sign), fax and/or phone in prescriptions for patients according to physician's practice protocols. Obtains pre-certification for prescriptions drugs. Pre-operative calls, making sure patients' PATs are complete, discuss discharge plans, and obtain other important information supplied by patient and answer questions.
