Merchandise Manager

Job description

The Merchandise Manager owns and manages the relationship between Orgill and the vendor. The MM controls the breadth of the assortment and determines to the extent what Orgill will offer our customers. Duties and Responsibilities: - Negotiates the following with the vendor community: - Marketing Support. - Payment and Freight Terms. - Pricing. - Assortment. - Promotions. - Other matters pertinent to the Orgill vendor relationship. - Conducts vendor line and assortment reviews per assigned department(s) using the Strategic Category Analysis (SCA) tools. - Sells booth space and prepares order forms for Buying Events. - Attends Dealer Markets and coordinates activity for assigned merchandise. - Responds to questions and requests for information from dealers, sales representatives, and vendors. - Other duties may be assigned. Success Factors: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: - Advanced knowledge of and ability in using various software applications, particularly Microsoft Office products and the Google Platform. - Experience with an automated buying system is a plus. - Polished negotiation techniques. - Excellent analytical abilities with ability to review facts and weight options whe...
