Job description
Job Summary: The Maintenance Technician uses machinery, tools, and equipment used in carpentry, concrete forming, roofing and repairs, cutting, replacing glass, hanging doors, ceramic tile setting, repairing furniture, plaster, stucco repair, installation of ceiling tile and floor tile, hanging drapes, modification of cabinets, moving equipment and setting up for special events. Performs other duties as needed. Education and Experience: Associate's Degree in Industrial Arts or Trade School preferred. Minimum three years experience in maintenance, construction, or warehousing preferred. Knowledge and Skills: Must be able to use all tools, equipment, and machinery necessary for general maintenance work. Must be able to operate and maintain light mechanical equipment. Must be able to work effectively in chemical protective clothing and equipment. Able to read, write legibly; speak in English with professional quality; use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
