Carrier | First Shift Position Summary: The Industrial Engineer supports Carrier’s applied chiller manufacturing operations by analyzing, designing, and optimizing production systems to improve efficiency, quality, safety, and cost performance. This role works cross-functionally with manufacturing engineering, production, quality, supply chain, and advanced engineering teams to drive continuous improvement and ensure Carrier’s chiller manufacturing processes meet world-class operational standards. The Industrial Engineer plays a key role in capacity planning, labor optimization, workflow design, and implementation of lean manufacturing principles across the plant. This role is onsite in Charlotte, NC. Key Responsibilities: Process Optimization: Analyze manufacturing processes, material flow, and labor utilization to improve throughput and reduce waste. Labor & Standards: Develop and maintain time studies, standard work, and labor models to support accurate staffing, line balancing, and productivity improvements.
