Job Posting End Date: until position filled Shift: 1st: Security Clearance: No Clearance Required: SUMMARY: Coordinate and assist trades and subcontractors to perform work within their area(s) of responsibility to meet project goals. Prioritize, sequence and coordinate all activities to completion in accordance with a plan, schedule and budget. Reports to the Ship Manager. Liaison closely with Quality Assurance, Planning, Engineering, Subcontractors, Materials, Safety, Customers, Vendors and other NASSCO Departments as appropriate. Develop inter-personal communications with Trade Supervision. Actively participate in the creation of policies/procedures that will enhance the role of Area Manager. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES: - Coordinates/support shipboard trades and subcontractors to meet production requirements. - Monitor and anticipate schedule and budget deviations and initiate corrective action. - Monitor trade activities and provide input to the General Forman and/or Assistant Superintendent to initiate appropriate action. - Verify completion of production work for each phase of compartment completion. - Develop work plans in area(s) of responsibilities as required, working...
