Purpose: Contributes to the overall success of the Compliance Department in Europe ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures. Accountabilities: - Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge. Regulatory Relations UK: - Primary manager of interface with UK regulatory authorities, including the FCA and PRA. - Responsible for supporting and coordinating supervisory exam management, continuous regulatory interactions monitoring, and reporting to internal Bank senior management and committees on regulatory topics for the UK. - Partners closely with business unit and control function management and staff to support their UK regulatory interactions. - Responsible for monitoring of remediation commitments made by Scotiabank to its UK regulators and assists with the preparati...
