Job description

Purpose and Scope Supervises the day to day operations of the Summer Learning Academy to ensure quality instruction and the safety of the staff and students. Communicates behavior expectations and consequences of action to staff, students and parents. Administers discipline when necessary to correct disruptive behavior. Oversees the opening and closing of Summer Learning Academy. Ensures compliance with all state, district, and Summer Learning Academy policies and procedures. Ensures all state and district documents are submitted on time. Minimum Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a closely related field plus a minimum of four (4) years of teaching or training experience, or any equivalent combination of education, training, and/or paid, exempt level directly relevant experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities for this position for a total of eight (8) years. Active SCS Assistant Principal in good standing required.
