Description The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Plant Manager, helping to ensure the department’s work production proceeds in concert with the planned schedule, alerting the supervisor when problems arise; assists in monitoring the work of all employees, helping to coach and train for improved performance; recommending corrective action to supervisor as appropriate. This Team Leader role will provide coaching, mentoring, and leadership to teams B and D on nights Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Assists in identifying any impediments to completing work assignments (parts shortages, tool/equipment needs, etc.) and takes appropriate actions to obtain or correct deficiencies. - Assists in providing and/or arranging for less skilled employees to receive training from more knowledgeable employees so as to broaden their and the department’s skill base. - Assumes administrative duties (i.e., maintenance of employee time records, production reports, etc.). - Is able to operate machines/use tools and perform any job assignment within the department, performing work assignments within the department on an as needed basis. - Assists the Plant Manager in ensur...
