Maintenance Assistant We’re seeking a hands-on Maintenance Assistant to support building systems and resident safety in our Long Term Care community. The ideal candidate brings strong HVAC and plumbing skills, a proactive approach to life safety compliance, and strong critical thinking to solve issues quickly. Key Responsibilities: - HVAC: Maintain and troubleshoot RTUs, boilers, and set up temporary heating/cooling solutions during outages or emergencies. - Plumbing: Maintain hot water systems, mixing valves, and water temperatures; troubleshoot toilets/flush valves, floor drains, and grease traps. - Life Safety Compliance: Support fire/life safety systems (e.g., drills, extinguishers, egress, emergency lighting) and documentation per regulatory standards. - Preventative Maintenance: Execute PM schedules for building systems and equipment; track work orders and parts. - General Maintenance: Minor electrical, carpentry, painting, and grounds as needed; vendor coordination and escorting.
