Job description
The Structures and Mechanisms Engineer will support the space program located in Houston, TX. The ISS Structures and Mechanisms team spans several branches within the Structural Engineering Division at NASA/JSC. Members support Structures and Fracture, Mechanisms, Loads and Dynamic, and Pressure Systems. RESPONSIBILITIES: REQUIRED: This position has been posted at multiple levels (must meet minimum level indicated). Depending on the candidate's experience, requirements, and business needs, we reserve the right to consider candidates at any level for which this position has been advertised. DESIRED: - Provide Subsystem Management support for needed for ISS sustaining. - Assist in review and development of hardware, analysis, operation, hazard reviews, anomaly resolution, requirements verification, re-flight assessments, and flight acceptance testing with respect to structures and mechanisms to name a few. - Coordinate to close technical and programmatic issues.
