Perimeter Behavioral of Forrest City has immediate openings for Day, Evening or Night LPNs. We are seeking individuals who are committed to improving the lives of those with mental health illness. The Licensed Practical Nurses’ responsibilities include the following: · Provides general nursing care as required. · Develops a therapeutic relationship with assigned residents. · Distribute medication as prescribed and properly maintain the MARS. · Serve as a role model for residents and peers. · Establish and maintain professional contact with the resident’s physician and psychotherapist to assist in planning the resident’s care. · Model and teach appropriate life skills to the patients. · Admits, discharges and transfers residents based on physician’s orders and sometimes under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. · Intervene appropriately to de-escalate residents as needed.
