JOB DESCRIPTION: Job Summary: Develop, maintain, and support automation control systems that are integral to the production process for the assembly of automotive seating and overhead systems. This role is suited for an entry to mid-level controls engineer with hands-on PLC troubleshooting and programming experience. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned. Continuous Improvement & Quality: Participate in PFMEA analysis. Support Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, and other continuous improvement initiatives. Assist in identifying and implementing error-proofing (poka-yoke) solutions throughout the production process. Participate in 8D or similar root-cause-based problem-solving activities. Identify abnormalities and support corrective actions to resolve root causes. Engineering & Process Support: Support evaluation of process impacts resulting from engineering changes. Assist in equipment specification reviews and controls design discussions. Review equipment controls drawings and provide feedback as needed.
