Job description

Stantec is seeking an Environmental Scientist (Ecologist, Botanist) for our Indianapolis area, Indiana location. This position will conduct environmental sampling including vegetation and hydrology for monitoring and delineation purposes, data analysis, and reporting. Other responsibilities will vary based on the candidate’s skill set and project needs. These responsibilities may include additional ecological service site assessments, such as wildlife surveys, ground water sampling, and restoration support. Your Key Responsibilities: - Knowledge of or experience with wetland and stream vegetative community, including species identification - Knowledge of or experience with wetland, stream and habitat monitoring sampling methodologies - Knowledge of or experience with wetland and stream delineations field assessment, data recording and reporting for delineation per the applicable USACE standardized methodologies - Use of GPS for field mapping and desktop review - Able and willing to assist our restoration and maintenance teams with field work for quality control - Opportunities for water quality and wildlife possible - Opportunities to assist in conducting groundwater sampling - Rec...
