Description The School of Art at Carnegie Mellon University continually seeks qualified adjunct instructors to teach a variety of studio courses. This is an open call for part-time adjunct instructors in the area of Drawing, Painting, Print Media, and Photography (DP3). This area focuses on traditional 2D artmaking including drawing, painting, printmaking, and photography. Examples of courses for which we seek instructors include foundation-, intermediate-, and advanced-level courses in drawing, painting, print media, and photography. Studio classes typically meet for three hours a day, two days a week, over a 14-week semester. Studio courses have an average enrollment of 15 students per class. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis all year long. Candidates who meet criteria for needed courses will be contacted during planning for the fall or spring semesters. We encourage applications from members of groups that have been marginalized or underrepresented in art and higher education and who will contribute to the breadth of our program.
