Lamination Production Technician

Job description

Role Summary Composite Technicians will be producing parts and assemblies for the aerospace, unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), and other product line industries that are developed at our facility. Duties & Responsibilities: - Laminate composite materials into aluminum molds in accordance with engineering specifications and layup schedules - Operate industrial ovens and hydraulic heated presses in accordance with cure cycle specifications and equipment operating procedures - Demold cured composite parts and thoroughly clean, inspect, and prepare molds between layup cycles to ensure consistent part quality and mold longevity - Manually cut and trim composite materials using patterns and templates, and assist in developing new patterns to optimize material usage and layup efficiency - Collaborate with engineering to develop, document, and continuously improve lamination processes and layup procedures - Accurately measure, mix, and apply resins and adhesives by weight or volume per material specifications and process documentation - Maintain a clean, organized, and FOD-compliant work environment at all times, adhering to company policy and tool control standards - Read, interpret, and wor...
