Position: Student Nurse Hours/shifts: see details below (Per Diem) Facility : BMC Brighton: - 8-hour or 12-hour shifts, available (dependent on unit needs) - Day/Evening/Night rotation - 2 weekend shifts per month required - One Summer Holiday shift - Summer: May 19th through August 29th, up to 32 hours/week available - Fall/Spring semester: flexible schedule and or reduced hours to align with academic demands of student nurses - Winter/Spring break schedule: additional hours may be available POSITION SUMMARY: - Under the supervision and guidance of the nursing assistant preceptor, the student is a member of the health care team who assists the professional care givers in providing quality care to patients. - Reports to and is supervised by their preceptor, Clinical Instructor, Registered Nurse/Resource Nurse, Coordinator, and/or Nurse Manager. - Works collaboratively with the Registered Nurses/Physicians. - Under supervision and/or guidance, the student has the authority to carry out patient care activities under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
