Location: Burns Harbor, IN Cleveland-Cliffs, Burns Harbor has an opportunity for a Senior Section Manager - Operations role in our Coke Producing Division. The Senior Section Manager will be responsible for taking the lead role in managing product flow, equipment operations and employee performance so that the products conform to customer requirements and productivity meets business needs. The ideal candidate will have a high level of organization, and ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization. Summary of Responsibilities: Supervises and monitors job performances of all operating sections in the Coke Plant, including battery operations, heating operations, and coal chemical/coal handling. Supervises and monitors job performance of Section Managers and Shift Managers versus departmental goals. Assist in development of Coke Plant goals and objectives. Coordinates the safety activities in the Coke Plant. Manages disposition of all unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, all safety interactions and contacts for salary and hourly personnel.
