Summary Baylor College of Medicine (Houston, TX) is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) for the Section of Hematology/Oncology and the Dan L Duncan Comprehensive Cancer Center (DLDCCC), one of only three National Cancer Institute Comprehensive Cancer Centers in Texas. The Classical Hematology APP will play a pivotal role in the DLDCCC for the classical hematology patients. The successful candidate will work closely with our classical hematologists to provide comprehensive care for patients with benign/non-malignant hematological disorders. This APP's effort will be devoted to patient care in the classical hematology clinics. Job Duties: - Performs comprehensive health assessments, physical exams. Performs, orders, and interprets diagnostic procedures in accordance with relevant health concerns of the patient. - Evaluates and manages on-treatment and post-treatment side effects, offers treatment recommendations and prescribes medications to manage symptoms of treatment; collaborates with infusion center for iron infusion and other treatments as needed to support coordination; plans and implements therapeutic regimens that include both nursing and medical management strategie...
