Description The Chemistry Department at The College of Wooster invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor of Chemistry to begin in August 2024. The position is renewable for a total of three years pending a positive teaching performance in 2024-2025. We are looking for a broadly trained chemist with a commitment to teaching excellence. The successful applicant will have a Ph.D. by the time of appointment. Primary responsibilities include teaching general chemistry courses and laboratories within one’s specialization , with additional possible teaching opportunities in the chemistry curriculum and in mentoring undergraduates within Wooster’s nationally-recognized Senior Independent Study research program . The College of Wooster is an independent college of the liberal arts and sciences with a commitment to excellence in undergraduate education.
