Classification Title: Asset Specialist I Rover OPS Classification Minimum Requirements: The person in this position must be physically able to lift/move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds and must be able to work in extreme temperatures in a warehouse environment. This position requires a valid Florida Driver's License. Job Description: The UF Surplus is responsible for the appropriate disposition and sustainability of all “information technology,” electronic, medical/scientific and furniture property surveyed out as surplus by all UF departments. UF Surplus fulfills UF's sustainability commitment by reducing UF's waste by reusing technology within UF, reselling to the public or donating to the community, and recycling technology that is no longer viable. The OPS performs the following: Assists customers in the Lobby Area with auction sales and departmental transfers. - Sorting and Recycling: Separate items and sort through boxes that come into UF Surplus to place items in proper locations.
