Position Summary: The Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) works under the direct supervision of a licensed dentist and provides a broad range of clinical support services to ensure high-quality patient care and operational efficiency. This role complies with all New York State laws and regulations governing dental assisting practices. Key Responsibilities: Qualifications: - Educate patients on oral health and post-treatment care - Collect preliminary medical histories and vital signs for dentist review - Place and remove rubber dams - Select and prefit provisional crowns - Take impressions for study casts, diagnostic casts, space maintainers, orthodontic appliances, and occlusal guards - Remove periodontal dressings and sutures placed by a licensed dentist - Apply topical anticariogenic and desensitizing agents - Place and remove temporary separating devices and restorations - Remove temporary cement - Take dental radiographs in accordance with Public Health Law - Perform other authorized supportive services as directed by the supervising dentist - High School diploma/GED - BLS/CPR certification - Current registration as a Dental Assistant in New York State - Completion of a recogniz...
