Summary The Center for Comparative Medicine (CCM) provides for the care, health and well-being of all research animals used in the pursuit of scientific achievement and excellence at Baylor College of Medicine. CCM provides the highest quality veterinary and animal care and acts as a resource for the faculty on veterinary and scientific issues relating to the use of laboratory animals. We are seeking a Maintenance Apprentice who will provide maintenance and scheduled preventative maintenance to support routine animal care and handling for a diverse group of small research animals according to established procedures and standards. Job Duties: - Assists with scheduling, escorting and the oversight of outside contractors whom enter the college to perform technical tasks and installation of newly purchased equipment within CCM. - Assists with maintenance tasks related to CCM's Green Slip maintenance reporting system. - Assists with repairs related to submitted Green Slips and clears issues from the Green Slips system upon completion. - Assists with routine preventative maintenance tasks with existing equipment on a regular basis. - Assists with troubleshooting and repair of industrial...
