Regional Dean of Nursing

Job description

Position Summary: The Regional Dean of Nursing is responsible for the overall academic operations of Schools of Nursing located in his/her specific geographical region. While assigned to a specific region, the Regional Dean is expected to be well-versed in all EA nursing programs and provide support across the organization as needed, including serving as interim dean when there is an opening in their region and/or another region as necessary. The Regional Dean reports directly to the VP for Nursing and interfaces with National Deans, Regional Vice Presidents, and Deans/Directors of Nursing. Using a matrix organizational model, the Regional Dean collaborates with School Directors and the Regional Vice President to assure that the nursing education provided within assigned schools is of the highest quality. The Regional Dean regularly visits programs within their region to ensure programs maintain high quality standards, effectively use tools to ensure program compliance, and are providing student-centered nursing education.
