POSITION SUMMARY: The Staff Accountant is responsible for the direct accounting activities of GT Independence, at the direction of the Controller. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: - Preparation of all corporate payroll tax filings and 401k deposits - Monthly preparation of bank reconciliations for all bank accounts - Prepares or directs the preparation of reports which summarize business activity and financial position in all financial areas - Prepare W-2’s and 1099’s for internal employees - Preparation and payment of Field Service Representatives commissions - Preparation of reconciliations for general ledger accounts in conjunction with monthly internal financial statement preparation - Assist in annual financial statement and 401k audits - Assist with all state and federal audits - Projects as necessary EDUCATION: - Bachelor’s Degree with a major in Finance/Accounting EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: - At least 2 years of experience relevant to the work performed - CPA preferred but not required - Experience with Microsoft Office Products, specifically Great Plains - Ability to oversee and manage multiple tasks - Excellent written and oral communication skills - Strong ability to ana...
