Facilities Maintenance Technician II - Westfield 2600023Q Description Position Summary: Incumbents of this classification perform a wide variety of maintenance tasks and repairs to facilities utilizing knowledge and skill in general facilities maintenance and in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC). He/She will be primarily responsible for maintaining HVAC cooling systems; identifying repair and/or replacement needs; providing necessary information on the proper uses of equipment and assisting other skilled trades as required. The incumbent should be familiar with various control systems (DDC for INAC). The incumbent may be assigned to perform a wide variety of tasks within other building maintenance skilled crafts that do not require a specific license or certification. Duties and Responsibilities: Investigates building equipment or structures to identify causes of breakdown or malfunction and repair. Plans and organizes work to be performed and verifies that all necessary materials and parts are available.
