THIS IS A BID POSITION: This position is covered by the collective bargaining agreement between the Chicago Park District and IBEW Local 9. Pursuant to the collective bargaining agreement, the District will exhaust internal eligible applicants prior to considering external applicants. The District is assembling a list of qualified candidates for this position that will be considered should the position not be filled with internal eligible applicants. CLASS SPECIFICATION: Title: General Foreman of Electricians Outside Level: 4421 CHARACTERISTICS OF THE CLASS: Under supervision, directs and coordinates the daily work assignments of Electrician Outside Foreman and all personnel engaged in the outside repair, alteration and construction of electrical light and power equipment, auxiliary apparatus, transmission lines, wiring and related electrical projects. Performs related duties as required.
