Under the direction of the PA’s Supervising Physician or Designated Agent, the Surgical Advanced Practitioner provides medical and surgical services to patients of the assigned clinic. Responsibilities: Inpatient Care: - Provides medical services under the direction of a physician to patients presenting specialty conditions or disease (depending on assigned department), consistent with the PA’s current Practice Description approved by the State of Oregon Board of Medical Examiners. - Rounds on service patients: assesses patients, performs physical exams, writes orders, documents daily notes. - Orders and interprets laboratory tests and radiological examinations.
