Dry Kiln Supervisor

Job description

The Kiln Supervisor will be responsible for all functions at the Kiln and Boiler department including safe work practices and procedures, stacking/loading/drying quality, drying practices and kiln schedules, operator scheduling, and coverage. Responsibilities: - Conduct comprehensive system inspection to identify areas of concern and opportunity - Work with operations to complete detailed safe work procedures - Ensure appropriate records are maintained for the Kiln and boiler - Daily quality audits - Feedback and communication with stacker department - Yard inspections - Work practice audits and standardization - Quality testing - Interface with leadership and kiln operators - Maintenance assignments and planning - Preventative maintenance checks and routines Requirements you will need: - Preferred--At least 1-2 years of Kiln and Boiler management experience - High school diploma - Mechanical aptitude & experience troubleshooting - Strong organizational skills - Excellent team-building and motivational skills - Good written and verbal communication skills - Good computer skills - Knowledge of Microsoft Office - Strong analytical skills - Ability to work under pressure - Must succes...
