Description Knox College invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor/Instructor of German to begin fall 2022. A completed Ph.D. is preferred, but ABDs will be considered seriously as well. This position is a one-year visiting position with the possibility of renewal. We invite applications from German studies scholars with a demonstrated research and teaching focus which can contribute to interdisciplinary programs and cross-listed courses. Areas of interest include Jewish studies, gender and women’s studies, film studies, Black German studies, business German and/or other areas. The successful candidate will have a strong interest and experience in teaching language, literature, and culture at all undergraduate levels of our proficiency-oriented and inclusive program. The normal teaching load is two courses per ten week trimester. Knox is an incredibly diverse college with over 35% of the student body identifying as American students of color and an additional 15% international students.
