Job description

We are looking for a talented Special Education Teacher for Maternity Leave Coverage . Hourly Rate Range: $46.00 - $57.00 per hour - In-person only - 11/12/2025 - 02/23/2026 - Caseload: 10 students - Grade Level(s): 5th & 6th Grade - Model: Push-in and Pullout Responsibilities would include: - Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities. - Provide differentiated instruction in one-on-one, small group, and inclusive classroom settings. - Adapt lesson plans, curriculum, and instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs. - Assess and monitor student progress using data-driven decision-making. - Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff to ensure student success. - Participate in IEP meetings, student evaluations, and parent-teacher conferences. - Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) and IDEA guidelines. - Implement behavioral intervention plans (BIPs) and classroom management strategies.
