POSITION SUMMARY: The Behaviour Analyst – Forensics is primarily responsible for collaborating in the development, implementation, and evaluation of specialized care plans for individuals under the jurisdiction of the Ontario Review Board or detained under the Criminal Code of Canada, cared for by the Forensic Psychiatry Program who have complex behavioural issues. The Behaviour Analyst will work within a recovery-based model of care to provide time-limited, in-patient behaviour-analytic services to individuals with challenging or aggressive behaviours related to their mental health diagnosis (i.e., schizophrenia), as well as individuals with a dual diagnosis (i.e., developmental disabilities and mental health needs). The Behaviour Analyst will collaborate with the various disciplines within the program in the development of integrated care plans and recommendations in accordance with best practice (evidence-based) approaches in working with challenging clients living with mental illness.
