Benefits Effective Day 1!: Position Summary: This position inspects, and cuts specified quantities of product from racks and place the product on meat conveyors or directly into formed pockets of film on the packaging machines or in the tanks. Responsibilities: Sort ends and pieces of #2 product, rework, or down-graded product. Place meat in the pocket, be able to operate machine and replace film and zipper. Use a handheld computer. Use SAP to issue, correct, and backstage. Inspect meat as it comes down the line and place it in packaging machine/pocket. Set up, tear down and operate the multivac packaging machines, labelers, slicing, dicing equipment, and all other support equipment. Operate a film lift and change rolls of film. Complete two person lifts of up to 60-pounds on the zipper. Learn all correct labeling and dating procedures. Set up and change stock on labeling equipment. Package all sliced and diced products.
