Here at The Exploration Company, we are developing, producing, and operating Nyx, a modular and reusable space orbital vehicle that can eventually be refuelled in orbit and that can carry cargo - and potentially humans in the longer run. As a talented Propulsion Structural Engineer, you will support the design, justification, testing and validation of the mechanical structure of the propulsion system and its main components. Key Responsibilities / Tasks: In your capacity as a Propulsion Structural Engineer, your role will be continuously evolving, but day to day your duties will include: Reviewing static & dynamic load inputs, material properties, test data, and component requirements to properly set up structural analysis cases. Performing static and dynamic mechanical analysis, with detailed validation methodologies and appropriate justifications of the overall propulsion system using the appropriate applicable standards. Perform fracture mechanics evaluations, crack growth analyses, and damage tolerance assessments.
