Overview About the Role: The primary purpose of the Special Procedures Technologist (Mammography) is to provide healthcare services to patients requiring mammography imaging. Performs appropriate procedure and related techniques on patients, producing images for the interpretation by, or at the request of a licensed practitioner. Provides appropriate patient care and recognizes patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedures. Responsible for carrying out quality control tests to comply with state and federal requirements. Must be able to perform duties in UH as well as on the Mobile Mammography Van. Exercises professional judgment in the performance of services and maintains a demeanor complementary to medical ethics.
