Working Title: Basic Needs Resource Programs Assistant Classification: Student Services Professional IA: Posting Details: Priority Application Date (Posting will remain open until filled): Tuesday, May 12, 2026 @ 11:55pm PT Hiring Preference: Not Applicable: Position Summary: The Basic Needs Resource Programs Assistant (Programs Assistant) is an SSP IA trainee level appointment working under the lead direction of the Student Health, Counseling & Wellness Services (SHCWS), Basic Needs Resource Center Coordinator (SSP-III) and with direct supervision from the Director of CARES, Basic Needs & Wellness. During the trainee period, which is not to exceed 12 months, the Programs Assistant is expected to develop and demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities to function under general supervision at the SSP IB working level. This incumbent will assist with mentoring and providing day-to-day guidance to paid student assistants and staff assigned to the Basic Needs Resource Center, under the supervision of professional staff.
