Description The Department of Psychiatry and Neurobehavioral Sciences at the University of Virginia (UVA) School of Medicine seeks an outstanding psychiatrist to join our Transplant Psychiatry Service. Rank (Assistant/Associate/Professor) and tenure status are commensurate with qualifications. The selected candidate will provide comprehensive psychiatric care for solid organ transplant patients across the continuum of care, including both inpatient evaluation and management as well as outpatient assessment and longitudinal follow-up of pre- and post-transplant patients. This role involves close collaboration with multidisciplinary transplant teams to support optimal psychosocial readiness, adherence, and post-transplant adjustment. Clinical duties will include inpatient transplant evaluations and management alongside outpatient care of transplant candidates and recipients. Depending on the interests and expertise of the candidate, additional responsibilities may include consultation-liaison psychiatry, emergency department psychiatry, or general outpatient care.
