Operator - Converting

Job description

About the opportunity As a Converting Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating converting bag machines to meet or exceed customer quality expectations. You will be performing functions such as but not limited to unwinds roll stock and folds/forms film into bag shape, seals edges and corners, adds vent holes, handles and trims to size, and preparing product for shipment by boxing and palletizes, labeling and etc. What You Will Do: - Sets-up machine to specifications outlined on the order - Sets-up machine to standard set-up time & procedure - Operates machine to standard production target and waste target - Trouble shoots machine when it is down or not performing to standard - Assists maintenance with machine repairs and preventive maintenance - Responsible for ensuring that the day-to-day operation of the machine is consistent with the policies and procedures which make up the Food Safety & Quality System. - Continuously improve the process as an individual and as a team member - Ensures work area is kept clean according to facility/corporate standards - Ensures all food safety and environmental standards and requirements are met - Makes adjustments to nip rol...
