Job Summary Investigate the role of exosome biology and epigenetic regulation in postoperative pain using an integrated approach combining molecular and in vivo techniques. Studies pursued are aimed at advancing both basic research and novel therapeutic strategies to better understand and treat pain. Qualified candidates must have a Ph.D. in molecular/cellular biology, biochemistry or a related field. Candidates must have experience working with extracellular vesicles and rodent models. Successful applicants are expected to work independently and be self-motivated, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. This position is grant-funded; employment is contingent upon the continued availability of those funds. Essential Functions: - Perform experiments proposed in the NIH grant / Generate and test mouse models of pain / Isolate and characterize small extracellular vesicles / Determine gene and protein expression - 20% - Analyze data and write manuscript for publication / Analyze mouse behavior testing data / Generate figures for publication in scientific journals / Write manuscript Required Qualifications: - Minimum of a PhD or Doctorate in Neuropharmacology. - Experienc...
